DRC Announces Innovative Partnership with St. Cloud State University
Non-Traditional MBA Program Provides a New Opportunity for Busy Professionals

Maple Grove, Minn., October 4, 2006 – Working professionals in the Twin Cities area can complete a master’s degree in record time through a unique partnership between St. Cloud State University (SCSU) and Data Recognition Corporation (DRC).

The Maple Grove MBA program offers professionals in the greater Minneapolis area the opportunity to complete an AACSB accredited MBA degree combining a convenient location, accelerated courses, a non-traditional schedule, and small class sizes taught by highly qualified instructors. Through this program, an MBA is earned by taking 11 courses, attending class once a week in the evening, and can be completed in as little as 26 months. All of the classes in the program are held at DRC headquarters in Maple Grove, a northwest suburb of Minneapolis. The highly secure building grants limited access to students and provides a well-lit lot with ample parking.

Carrie DeMay is the first DRC full-time employee to complete her MBA degree through the SCSU Maple Grove MBA program.

DeMay began the program during the spring of 2004. Pregnant with her second child, DeMay considered postponing joining the program. She did miss the first class, Organizational Development, but was able to meet course requirements by writing a paper which was later used as the basis for a conference presentation. DeMay was awarded her MBA in May 2006.

When asked why she chose this particular program, DeMay stated, “The location was incredibly convenient and DRC offers tuition reimbursement. I felt that the marketing, accounting, and management courses in the MBA program would enable me to do my job more confidently and effectively.”

Russ Hagen, Chairman of the Board of DRC and an SCSU alum, was thoroughly involved with the group that developed the accredited MBA program. According to Hagen, “We had this great building, but after working hours it was deserted. I’ve worked closely with St. Cloud State University in the past and when we were approached with an opportunity to partner with the University to offer an extension of the MBA program, it seemed like the right thing to do. It falls in line with DRC’s commitment to education and community support.”

DRC Adopts Bruce F. Vento Elementary School
St.Paul School Will Join Jenny Lind Elementary As Recipient Of DRC Employee and Corporate Giving

Maple Grove, Minn., September 28, 2006 – When Data Recognition Corporation (DRC) adopts an elementary school, a donation drive is usually the first order of business. Employee donations and corporate matching brought almost 1800 school supply items to the Bruce F. Vento Elementary School in East St. Paul just in time for the new school year. The supplies were delivered on Monday, September 11, by Connie Milstein from Test Development, Kevin Videen from Printing, and Bruce Hendrickson from Operations.

“Our donations to Vento Elementary are a reflection of DRC’s commitment to Minnesota public schools. Our employees love pulling together to bring such deserving students the tools they need to learn and develop,” said Susan Engeleiter, President and CEO of DRC.

“We are so grateful to the staff and leadership at DRC for the donated school supplies. Any student, regardless of their background, can succeed if given the correct tools and guidance,” said Principal Darrel Rivard.

The DRC School Adoption Program has included donations and fundraising for playground equipment, volunteering and sponsorship of track and field day, school carnivals, holiday parties and mentoring opportunities. The Bruce F. Vento Elementary School is the third school DRC has adopted.
